Forgiveness: What we Fear, Yet What We Need and Long For

Updated: Jan 10, 2023

“Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.”

“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.” C.S. Lewis

Colossians 3:13-14 “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

Even now, as I write this post, I can feel resentment boiling inside me. My only solution is to give it to God because only He can give me the power to truly forgive. And the hard truth is that letting go of the hurt and anger is the only way we can live our best life.
